Non aver paura di essere te stesso, di esprimerti senza filtri, non aver paura di essere giudicato.
Togliti la maschera fotografo, impara a non seguire la corrente, cerca il tuo stile.
Senti quello che hai dentro, non soffermarti solo sui dettagli.
Togliti la maschera fotografo e fai la differenza.
Queste sono le parole che rimbombano nella mia testa ogni volta che scatto.
La fotocamera è un’arma che dobbiamo imparare ad usare.
La fotocamera ha un mirino che deve centrare l’obiettivo.
Non può essere usata come alibi, non può e non deve più essere un filtro tra noi e la realtà.
Il fotografo odierno ancora più di prima deve immergersi totalmente nel lavoro che sta svolgendo, deve vivere fotograficamente ogni momento del suo lavoro.
Quando ho deciso di tuffarmi in questa avventura assieme a Donna, Tomeu e successivamente Letizia Battaglia, quello che più mi ha spinto ad affiliarmi a questo caleidoscopico viaggio è stata proprio questa convinzione. È ciò che più condividiamo come squadra! Il grande merito di questo gruppo di professionisti, delle esperienze formative che riescono, riusciamo a costruire è proprio quello di spingere chi partecipa ad abbandonare preconcetti e a superare i propri limiti, personali e fotografici. Perché la fotografia non è solo tecnica ed estetica, è prima di tutto anima. L’occhio sacro delle cose.

Take off your mask, photographer!
Don’t be afraid of being yourself, of expressing yourself without filters, don’t be afraid of being judged.
Take off your mask, learn not to follow the flow, look for your stile.
Feel what you have inside, don’t stick to details.
Take off your mask photographer and make the difference!
This are the words that echoes in my head every time I’m taking a picture.
The camera is a weapon we have to learn how to use.
The camera has an aim that has to center the target.
It can’t be used as an alibi, it can’t and it must not be used as a filter between us and reality anymore.
Current photographers have more than ever to dive in completely into the work they are carrying out, they have to photographically live every moment of their work.
When I decided to plunge myself in this adventure with Donna, Tomeu and later on Letizia Battaglia, what pushed me to affiliate myself to this kaleidoscopic journey was exactly this conviction. It’s what we share most as a team! The greatest merit of this group of professionals, of the educational experiences they, we are able to create is right in the ability of pushing participants to abandon preconceptions and to overcome their both personal and photographic limits.
Because photography is not just about esthetic and techniques, it’s above all about the soul. The sacred eye of things.
